04 / CRO TIP
Stop using landing page builders

We've been running more and more tests where we take our clients best-performing landing pages, rebuild them natively in Shopify using Liquid + CLI, and compare them against the exact same page built in a popular "landing page builder."

Same copy.

Same images.

Same structure.

Same offer.

The only difference? The build.

This is one of 10's of winning tests:

+9.9% Conversion Rate

+20.9% Revenue Per Visitor

+10.0% Average Order Value

Your landing page builder might be holding you back.

I've been saying this for years.

For the record, this isn't a post bashing landing page builders. They absolutely have a place. They're incredible for speed, testing, and iteration.

But once you've found a winner, move it into Shopify natively.

Faster. Lighter. More responsive.

05 / A/B TEST OF THE WEEK
Your mega menu is probably one of the biggest untapped CRO opportunities on your entire store

Think about it like this...

Imagine you walk into a supermarket you've never been to before.

You don't know where anything is.

You don't even know exactly what you want yet.

You're just browsing.

That's exactly what's happening when someone opens your mobile mega menu.

They're not looking for the "Menu."

They're looking for direction.

If you leave them to figure everything out themselves...

They'll hesitate.

They'll bounce.

Or they'll head to the wrong part of your store.

Instead, your mega menu should act like the best salesperson in the shop.

It should gently guide visitors towards the products they're most likely to buy.

On this test, that simple mindset generated an extra $106,886/month.

Here's what we changed:

1. We showcased the bestsellers immediately.

The very first thing people saw wasn't a wall of links.

It was a visual carousel of the products everyone else was buying.

People naturally follow other people's decisions.

Use that.

2. We completely restructured the navigation.

Instead of a boring list of categories...

We used clearer headings, product imagery, larger touch targets and prioritised collections based on what actually generated the most Revenue Per Session, not what the merchandising team happened to like.

The goal wasn't to give visitors more choices.

It was to make the right choices obvious.

3. We used the bottom of the menu to remove doubt.

Most brands waste this space.

Instead, we added social proof that reinforced one of the biggest purchase drivers we'd uncovered from customer research.

Even when someone is browsing...

They're still building confidence.

Every piece of real estate on your website has one job:

Move people one step further down the funnel.

Your mega menu isn't just navigation.

It's the bridge between curiosity and product discovery.

Treat it like a conversion page, not a sitemap.
