Just In: ConversionWise Podcast

Over the years I've been a guest on quite a few podcasts, talking about CRO and entrepreneurship.

But it never really clicked that we should start our own podcast series here at ConversionWise.

Well...

I'm thrilled to introduce the first episode of "Talks That Convert" - a new podcast series from ConversionWise

Our very own CRO expert, Chris, has taken the lead on this project and has already recorded a full season featuring conversations with industry leaders.

For our opening episode, I had the pleasure of joining Chris to discuss a range of topics that cover CRO, agency life, and entrepreneurship.

- The importance of doing CRO for your brand

- How to maximize the results from your CRO effort

- What it takes to scale a successful agency

- Keeping churn rate low

- The importance of monthly recurring revenue as an agency

- The challenges of entrepreneurship and how to overcome them

For those curious, you'll also get to know a bit of my backstory - how I went from working as a chef to founding one of the biggest CRO agencies in the world.

I won't keep you any longer.

Dive into the first episode and don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss future episodes.

P.S. You can also listen to the podcast on Spotify

Here are just some of the landing pages that we created last week for our clients.

CRO Insight

Never forget to use the tips below when writing copy.

Top 10 Biggest Mistakes in CRO

1. Not focusing on User Experience (UX)

If your site is difficult to navigate, you'll lose sales.

Poor UX equals poor conversion.

Instead:

  • Easy navigation

  • Mobile-first design

  • Fast loading times

  • Simplified checkout

A great experience is the key to repeat customers.

2. Not Handling Objections

If you're not addressing common objections, you're leaving doubts in your customer's mind.

Be sure to:

  • Include a FAQ section

  • Address common objections

  • Use customer testimonials to dispel concerns

Remember, you're also selling peace of mind.

3. Ignoring Call To Actions

Don't assume visitors know what to do next.

You need to guide them.

Poor CTAs mean lost opportunities.

Like a tour guide in a foreign city, CTAs should be clear and prominent.

4. Complicated Checkout Process

A complex checkout is a sales killer.

Don't give customers a reason to abandon their carts.

Instead:

  • Simplify the process

  • Offer guest checkout

  • Multiple payment options

Make it as easy as possible to hand you their money.

5. No Trust Signals

People don't just buy products.

They buy trust.

  • Display reviews and testimonials

  • Showcase security badges

  • Provide excellent customer service

Trust can be the difference between 'Add to Cart' and 'Exit Page.

6. Poor Product Descriptions

Remember:

People don't buy products.

They buy better versions of themselves.

So don't just describe your product.

Sell a solution.

Seduce their senses.

Make them imagine a better future.

7. Neglecting Mobile Optimization

More people shop on mobile than ever before.

If your site isn't mobile-friendly, you're losing customers.

Instead:

· Responsive design

· Simple navigation

· Quick load times

Don't ignore the device in their pocket.

8. Overloading with Information

Just because you can provide a ton of info doesn't mean you should.

Overloading customers with choices leads to decision paralysis.

Instead, apply the 'Less is More' principle:

Guide them to the most important information.

Cut the rest.

9. Poor Site Speed

Your site's speed can make or break a sale.

Slow loading = high bounce rates.

Optimize your images. Use a reliable host.

Prioritize site speed.

Remember: Patience is not a virtue in e-commerce

10. Forgetting the Follow-up

Most people focus on the sale, not the relationship.

Post-purchase coms can turn one-time buyers into repeat customers.

Send a thank you email.

Offer a discount.

Remember: A customer retained is more valuable than a customer gained.
